Mommy Meditations Review and Giveaway

Are you a new mommy? Are you overwhelmed and don’t know how to relax because of all of the new stresses you now have? I have had a wonderful opportunity to review the Mommy Meditations CD, developed by board certified obstetrician, Dr. Kerri S. Parks. I also have a wonderful opportunity for you: A Giveaway of the Mommy Meditations CD!!!!

Many of you know that I have a one year old son. I also have two older girls, ages 5 and 9. During my last pregnancy, I had a completely different experience than I did with my girls. I started sleeping all of the time and lost the desire to go anywhere other than work and home. I contributed this to the normal tiredness of pregnancy, but once my son was born, the behavior continued. I loved him completely and loved my girls but for some unknown reason I couldn’t snap out of it. This went on for a year.

Finally, I went to the doctor. As I explained to her that I wasn’t depressed, but that I wasn’t myself, I broke down and started crying. As it turned out, I was suffering from post partum depression, not something I chose to have, but something hormonal that I had no control over. My doctor put me on medication and within three days I felt like I had stepped out of darkness into light. I felt like me again. I felt like taking my kids to the park. I was smiling again, on the outside and the inside. Thank God.

Now back to the Mommy Meditations review. I jumped at the chance to review this CD because I knew that I also needed a way to meditate and to relieve some stress but I did not even know how to start. My medication has done wonders for me but clearing my mind and relaxing helped me to feel less anxious and more in control of my actions and my body. Mommy Mediations guided me through step by step, how to meditate. I wish that I would have had this CD directly after having my son. A new mommy definitely could benefit by focusing only on herself and meditating for a short time each day. Meditation guides you on releasing negativity and allows you to reconnect your mind with your body. I highly recommend the Mommy Meditations CD to all new mommies. I will continue practicing the meditations although my son is now 18 months old, it just makes me feel better.

Would you like a chance to win one of these CD’s? This would make a great gift also! If you are interested in purchasing this CD, it retails for $19.99 or .99 for individual downloadable tracks and is available at MommyMeditations.com

  2. Thank you for doing this giveaway! I tried winning it from another blog a while ago, but didn't win and I would REALLY love to have this!

I will be the one using this. I just had my first child, my 4 month old daughter, Olivia. She is actually a really good baby, but it is still physically and mentally draining having a baby especially being a stay at home mom where being a mom is never ending 24/7 work. AND I had to have a C-section unfortunantly, so I had to deal with the stress of that and I am STILL not healed yet. I guess it takes a year which is kinda frustrating because you can't do all the things you would normally be able to do.

I feel like my body carries most of my stress and by the middle of the day, I am already looking for ways to calm and heal myself and I could really use some meditation to help me out and center myself.
