My name is Jennifer. I am a wife and a mother of 3 children. I recently have started looking for ways to save money and get freebies. In this economy anything we can get a deal on should be taken advantage of, its extra money in our pocket.
My first adventure was using coupons at Rite Aid on items that were on sale. I got $37.94 worth of products for $5.24. They have their Cover Girl make up buy one get one free and I had a coupon for B1G1, so I got both for free! Needless to say, I was hooked.
Next I wanted to try it with groceries. I thought it would be best to take sales ads to Walmart to get the matching price but upon the advise of a friend (thanks Amanda) I learned that Kroger is best for groceries. Not only do they double their coupons up to $0.50, they also have ecoupons that can be linked to your Kroger card that automatically come off at checkout. Other websites have ecoupons that can be linked also, such as cellfire.com and upromise.com. With upromise you earn a percentage back when you purchase items which is a good way to save money for college for your children. My first trip to Kroger with my new found info was $92 before coupons, $51 after. I saved $41 with very little experience, can't wait to see what it will be when I have more experience.
As I said, I am still new to this but am learning very quickly. I will be searching for deals and posting them on my blog for all of you to take advantage of also. I hope you enjoy my blog and send me any info you have on free stuff and savings to pass along to my readers. Thanks!!!
